Élever: One-maker Family of brands
“Narcissist” ~ Paso Robles
Blending Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon is referred to as a classic “Bordeaux Blend” but the focus here is to highlight the characters of Cabernet Franc of which the “parentage” of Cabernet Sauvignon is the combining of Cabernet Franc and the the white wine grape Sauvignon Blanc.
“Zapfino”~ Lodi Zinfandel
The history of this wine began with the harvest of 1980 in Cucamonga California. Our winemaker Nicholas began working at the old ‘Brookside Winery’ in the old Italian township of Guasti, Southern California, which at one time was the center of the largest contiguous vineyard in the world in the 1940’s & ‘50’s.
“Élever” Sonoma Pinot Noir
“For 15 years I’ve searched California for the right soil, climate, fog duration and exposure for the Pinot Noir I’ve envisioned for over 2-decades. In 2018, I discovered a small 4 acre site in Sonoma’s Petaluma Gap that was very “Burgundian” in overall heat summation but a little more sunlight (as would be expected in California!).” ~ Nicholas
