In 1983, I began to produce varietal Grenache from the Cucamonga Valley in Southern California. By 1998, it became a fascination for me and I was fixated on Grenache ‘Rhone Style’ red wine blends. Today, I am expanding on some of that history with this release based on a gorgeous vineyard in the Mokelumne River AVA of the Lodi region 60 miles east of Napa Valley. Raspberries, cherries, leather, and smokey coffee characters in a silky finish and lingering tannins. Enjoy! Nicholas Karaivdas
